Dubai has become famous for some of its most ambitious architectural projects, but one Canadian entrepreneur is looking to bring the moon to the city as part of a proposed $5 billion real estate project. Yes, this sounds suspiciously similar to the plot of Despicable Me.

Moon World Resorts Inc. co-founder Michael Henderson's idea is to spend an obscene amount of cash on the construction of a 274-meter (900-foot) replica of the moon that will be perched on top of a 30-meter (100-foot) building in Dubai. Dubbed The MOON Project, the completed replica will glow at night and will include a destination resort inside, including space for a 4,000-room hotel, an arena that can host up to 10,000 people, and a "lunar colony" that will sort of allow you to say that you've been on the moon.

There's also a chance that it could deafen nearby residents when confused owls begin incessantly hooting.

"We have the biggest brand in the world," Henderson told The Associated Press, subtly alluding to the idea that the actual moon is his company's brand. "Eight billion people know our brand, and we haven’t even started yet."

The artist's rendering for the project also happens to bear a very strong resemblance to Destiny and the Last City, as that haven for humanity was protected for many years by the Traveler. The cosmic golf ball, which dwarfs the Dubai moon project, actually did something this year and is now waging its final battle against the Witness in Destiny 2's Lightfall expansion.

While the MOON Project exists solely as a proposal for now, Destiny 2 is gearing up for its next season of activity next week. Season of the Deep begins on May 26 and it'll introduce a new seasonal artifact that aims to make the Arc subclass more shocking than ever before.

\nFoamstars is to Splatoon what Fortnite was to Playerunknown's Battlegrounds - a rip-off, yes, but also an admirably brazen one. And one that might actually take a single game and turn it into a whole genre. If it's very lucky - and also very good.\n

\nMaybe unsurprisngyly to anyone who first clocked Square Enix's Foamstars during last month's PlayStation showcase, that one's still debatable. I played a few rounds of it out at Summer Games Fest and can confidently tell you it is not terrible. Like anything competitive played in a room with nine other players it's immediately engaging, at least, and it does also have quite a clever twist, just as Fortnite's building was to PUBG's one-on-one-hundred survival on a shrinking map.\n

\nAdmittedly it's a bit less revolutionary: the twist with Foamstars is that it's purely a game of elimination, at least in the mode I played, and that in order to win you'll not only need to eliminate more players, but once you do, then eliminate the other team's best player, marked out with a star and then naturally, immediately surrounded by protective teammates.\n
